Dropping Fear

Dropping Fear is at once a unique yet familiar horror tale. The idea is quite different than any story I've ever read, but elements of the plot rekindle fond memories of horror films I watched as a teen in the 80s. Films like The Reanimator, and even TV shows like The Incredible Hulk.
In fact, the super-human, Hulk-like strength of the villain leads to over-the-top, outlandish scenarios, which could work well on film if directed by unique talent like Sam Raimi or Lloyd Kaufman. Heck, even Quentin Tarantino could have a field day with this one. It's a completely bizarre story with lots of campy splatter potential.
Dropping Fear reads well, and descriptions of scenes, surroundings and events are just enough to support the plot, while leaving something for the imagination. It's a page turner, tough to put down. A good start for Mike Catalano. I'm looking forward to more from him.
