Red Eye, a movie review...
If you haven't had the chance to see Red Eye I won't ruin it by sharing all the details, but as far as I'm concerned this is one cool flick, and one of the best I've seen from 2005. Rachel McAdams looks as good as ever and her performance is well done. Jayma Mays provides cute comic relief and you'll agree Cillian Murphy does a great job as well.
Wes Craven has made his mark on the industry with such movie classics as The Hills Have Eyes, which has been remade by Fox Searchlight Pictures, A Nightmare On Elm Street, The People Under the Stairs, Scream and Scream 2, among others. With Red Eye, Craven's keen directorial skills are evident; the film runs smoothly and all the crucial plot elements are intact. Just the right amount of twists and turns placed in the right spots keep the viewers on the edge of their seats.
The main villain becomes quite the monster before he is finally finished off in the final scenes of the movie, and tension runs high throughout. Red Eye is a thrilling, fast paced, well made film with great performances brought to life by great directing. A must see.
